This is who we are…

Kingswood-8We are T.H.Jensen, a Surrey-based building company specialising in medium- and large-scale residential building projects in the southern Home Counties. Founded by Thomas Jensen in 1988, we have been serving the community near and far ever since with high-quality building work – everything from new builds and major renovations to extensions, kitchens and bathrooms – all carried out to the very highest standards.

As a Surrey builder, we know the area, we know the best suppliers to use for materials and we only employ the best tradesmen, most of whom have been with us for years. We specialise in domestic extensions, refurbishments and new builds ranging in size/cost from £25k to £750K, and we’re just as happy taking on the refurb of a listed property as we are building your dream home on a plot of land.

Most of our work has been completed in the Surrey area, particularly Bookham, Fetcham, Epsom, Esher, Ashtead, Weybridge and Guildford, but we are happy to go further afield.

We employ a team of highly qualified staff, and engage reliable and trustworthy contractors according to project. These are drawn from a large pool of specialist tradesmen with whom we have built up excellent relationships over many years.

We work closely with many local architects and surveyors, so if you have a building project in mind but have not yet employed the services of an architect (this is usually the starting point on any major project) we can put you in touch with a few who come highly recommended.

Thomas-on-BikeAnd what about me? I’m Thomas Jensen. I founded the company back in 1988 following my training and qualification as a cabinet maker in Denmark (Jensen, you might have guessed, is not a very British name…), and I’m just as hands-on today as I was then. Based in Fetcham, I’m very much a family man and an outdoors kind of guy, I have a passion for what I do, I’m obsessed with quality and detail, and when I’m not on a building site I’m usually to be found hairing around the trails of the Surrey Hills on a mountain bike with my sons and friends, or pushing a bit further afield on a road bike. Oh, and I’m a trained first aider, which comes in handy (usually on the bike trails, rarely ever at work…).
